The Kassandra Peninsula offers visitors very impressive sightseeing. Many of the Kassandra villages possess archaeological, historical and religious monuments, as well as stunning natural sites.

Starting your sightseeing tour at the entrance of the Kassandra Peninsula, in Nea Potidea, we recommend visiting the impressive Potidea Canal and the Castle Ruins. Just below Nea Potidea, you will find Nea Fokea, where you can see the Church and Tower of Apostle Paul, as well as the Nea Fokea Wild Life Reserve.

Close by is the village of Afitos, which offers several very significant sites, such as the ruins of Ancient Afitios, the Ancient Millstone Quarries, the Springs of Vrysitsa and Moudounou, the Folklore Museum and a few lovely churches. Further south along the eastern coast is the village of Kallithea, where you should visit the Sanctuary of Amon Zeus and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. In Kassandria, visitors can admire the abandoned windmill, the Folklore Museum and the Cathedral of the Birth of the Virgin.

In Polychrono, we suggest taking a short nature walk to the small lake near the village, which is the Nature Reserve of the Testudinata Turtle. Pefkochori also offers wonderful natural sites, such as the Glarokavos Sea-lake and the natural setting of the Monastery of Agios Ioannis.

Along the western coast we come across Agia Paraskevi, where you can have a relaxing bath in the therapeutic waters of the village's springs. Kalandra Village is famous for its Ancient Site of Mendi and its Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which displays some superb murals. We continue on to Possidi village, which is the site of the ruins of the splendid Sanctuary of Poseidon and of the welcoming lighthouse at the end of the villages headland. In Sani, a visit to the Stavronikitas Byzantine Tower is a recommended.

The Kassandra Festival, which is held all summer long in Siviri, takes place at the village's amphitheatre and includes performances by artists from all over the world.

The 15 th of August is the most significant religious day of the summer, as it is the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Many Kassandra villages celebrate this day: Afitos, Kalandra, Kryopigi, Paliouri etc. Other religious Kassandra festivals take place on the name day of the village's patron saints. The most popular are: Apostles Petros and Pavlos on June 29 and 30 in Nea Fokea, Agia Marina on July 17 in Fourka, Agia Paraskevi on July 26 in Agia Paraskevi and Agios Pantelaemonas on July 27 in Kallithea.
